In 1948, a method of cutting round sticks with a knife from a thinly peeled birch was invented for the first time by K.Doi Kawachinagano. This construction method wanted to make a round birch toothpick. It is a long-standing dream of a person, which makes the product dramatically better and forms the foundation of today. At the same time, a round toothpick is one of the major reasons for export competitiveness.
In 1949, Koeisha partnered with Marusho sangyo of Takayama and entrusted some production. At first, we transported logs From Takayama but too much loss was involved in transportation costs. So we bought half of logs and manufactured in Kawachinagano and the other half we carried as a product. As the delivery note from the Marusho industry of this year remains, a part is extracted and it is posted below. You can see some types of product at that time, the contents and price in 1949.
